Ingredients

Prunus amygdalus (Sweet almond) buds

Description

Therapeutic actions:
• Affinity for the cardiovascular (CV) system (useful circulatory remedy in hypercoagulation phenomena).
• Specific for hypertriglyceridemia. Almond milk, well known in cosmetics, allows the emulsifying of greasy substances. This analogy is reflected in the bud which has the property to lower blood triglycerides and have a beneficial effect especially for hyperlipidemic and thrombophilic elderly.
• Antisclerotic (mainly renal) - All tissues presenting sclerosis might be impacted positively by this remedy. Improves circulation. Useful in the sclerotic elderly with hyperlipidemia / hypertryglycerimia and thrombotic tendencies (antithrombotic).
• Arteriosclerosis in the elderly and for nephritic conditions.
• Stimulating effect on the immune system.
• Psychiatric: Intervenes in phobic and obsessional neurosis.
• Endocrine: Thyroid stimulant.
• Liver: Antilithic properties.

Clinical indications:
• Cardiovascular: Prunus amygdalus works as a useful circulatory remedy in hypercoagulation phenomena in people with blood that is too thick and in certain disorders such as indirect coronaritis, atherosclerosis, angiosclerosis, and senile arteritis.
• It is also helpful in hypertension and post-infarct cicatrisation of the myocardium. It certainly acts as a preventative remedy for thrombosis.
• Renal: Decreases urea / uric acid levels, nephrosclerosis / lipoid nephrosis / renal amyloidosis.
• Psychiatric: Neurosis (phobic / obsessional).
• Endocrine: Stimulates the thyroid and reduces thyroid adenoma.
• Liver: Choledocolithiasis (antilithic properties - reported effective).

Consider in combination with:
• Olea europaea, hyper cholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia
• Olea europaea, Juniperus communis, Zea mays, for angiosclerosis
• Citrus limonum, Cornus sanguinea, for thromboemboli
• Olea europaea, Tilia tomentosa, obsessive compulsive disorders, nervous phobias
• Rosmarinus officinalis, for hypertriglyceridemia
• Fraxinus excelsior, Juniperus communis, for gout

Quantity

0.05 ml (extract 1:20 …. 2.5 mg )

Dose

Adults and children > 12 years
• Depending on the patient and the problem being treated, 5-10 drops daily are recommended.
• To start with, 5 drops should be taken; this dose can be increased by one drop daily to reach a maximum of 15-20 drops daily, until the required and stable result is acquired. The dosage is then maintained for the remainder of the treatment period.
• The length of the treatment depends on the health problem and the gemmotherapy remedy used. Normally it is recommended that the treatment be continued for three (3) months. The treatment should last for a minimum of three weeks and can be repeated several times, allowing for example a treatment-free week between each course.
• One or two remedies, the most applicable, can be combined; more are not usually necessary. However, the complexes have the advantage of combining several extracts in one formula, thus facilitating the treatment. A complex may, if considered necessary, be combined with another complex or individual bud extract.
