Therapeutic actions: • Cedar of Lebanon is a cutaneous remedy (skin diseases are caused by inner problems), used long term for in-depth drainage and detoxification. • The skin constitutes one of the emunctories to be put in function when kidneys and liver become insufficient. • Taken for long enough, it works deeply to eliminate toxins from the body. • This plant is actually used in many cosmetic preparations (prevention of aging skin and wrinkles – works on elastin). • Works particularly well for dry skin problems. • Inflammation modulation (respiratory and digestive mucous membranes). It is interesting to note that the cedar is also indicated in digestive irritations and respiratory mucosa. These two functions, in relation to the skin, are connected to the same element (metal) in Chinese medicine, which regulates the lungs and large intestine. • Antiparasitic (topical insecticides)
Clinical indications: • Cutaneous system: Dry eczema, chronic dermatitis, psoriasis, keratotic eczema, lichenified dermatosis, callosity, diaper rashes, skin tags, allergic reactions that manifest on the skin. o It is a remedy for the elderly whose skin, badly vascularised, dries or develops a senile pruritis. o Preventative for aging skin and wrinkles, works on the elastin • Digestive system: Inflammatory conditions and irritation of the digestive tract. o Allergic reactions that manifest on the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.
Consider in combination with: • Ribes nigrum, for allergic reactions • Juglans regia, when parasitic or fungal infection is evident • Betula verrucosa, to enhance detox • Zea mays, activates drainage of kidneys and liver

Adults and children > 12 years • Depending on the patient and the problem being treated, 5-10 drops daily are recommended. • To start with, 5 drops should be taken; this dose can be increased by one drop daily to reach a maximum of 15-20 drops daily, until the required and stable result is acquired. The dosage is then maintained for the remainder of the treatment period. • The length of the treatment depends on the health problem and the gemmotherapy remedy used. Normally it is recommended that the treatment be continued for three (3) months. The treatment should last for a minimum of three weeks and can be repeated several times, allowing for example a treatment-free week between each course. • One or two remedies, the most applicable, can be combined; more are not usually necessary. However, the complexes have the advantage of combining several extracts in one formula, thus facilitating the treatment. A complex may, if considered necessary, be combined with another complex or individual bud extract.
