Description
Therapeutic actions: • It is due to the study of gemmotherapy that much is known of the circulatory properties of Cornus sanguinea. • Cornus sanguinea enhances the normal physiology of clotting, as an anticoagulant it maintains the blood fluidity, and paradoxically it is an antihemorrhagic and a clot dissolver. • It prevents the impending infarction, treats the new infarction but is not indicated for later stages. • Due to its circulatory action, Cornus sanguinea has anti-necrotic properties on tissues, even in the acute phase, when necrosis is caused by an infarction of the capillaries. • At the arterial level, Cornus sanguinea acts as a drainer of arteries and anti-inflammatory. • It is a great anti-thrombotic remedy. Its anticoagulant action, which contributes to maintaining blood fluidity, is paradoxically associated with antihemorrhagic properties, as well as at the cranial, abdominal and thoracic level. Certain plants are thus bipolar according to the action to perform. • Kupffer cells of the liver are stimulated by Cornus sanguinea. • Cornus sanguinea coincidentally stimulates bone marrow (stimulation of mast cells and plasma cells).

Dose
Adults and children > 12 years • Depending on the patient and the problem being treated, 5-10 drops daily are recommended. • To start with, 5 drops should be taken; this dose can be increased by one drop daily to reach a maximum of 15-20 drops daily, until the required and stable result is acquired. The dosage is then maintained for the remainder of the treatment period. • The length of the treatment depends on the health problem and the gemmotherapy remedy used. Normally it is recommended that the treatment be continued for three (3) months. The treatment should last for a minimum of three weeks and can be repeated several times, allowing for example a treatment-free week between each course. • One or two remedies, the most applicable, can be combined; more are not usually necessary. However, the complexes have the advantage of combining several extracts in one formula, thus facilitating the treatment. A complex may, if considered necessary, be combined with another complex or individual bud extract.
