SunActive® iron (ferric pyrophosphate) : 10 mg

Xylitol, microcrystalline cellulose, citric acid, natural flavours, stearic acid, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Description

Natural Factors Big Friends Chewable Iron combines fun, great taste, and quality to help active, growing children fulfill the daily recommended intake of iron needed to prevent iron deficiency.

Iron is an essential trace mineral needed for the proper formation of red blood cells and their normal function in the body. Children rely on an adequate dietary intake of iron to help deliver oxygen to tissues throughout their developing bodies and brains. The challenge is that iron is sometimes lacking in the diet or difficult to absorb, increasing the risk of iron-deficiency anemia and associated tiredness and fatigue.

Chewable Iron contains SunActive® iron, a well-researched and highly bioavailable source of ferric pyrophosphate iron. It is made using micronization technology that dramatically improves iron absorption into the body and is gentle on the gastrointestinal system so it does not upset sensitive stomachs. This formula is suitable for children ages three years and older and provides 10 mg of elemental iron per day. The chewable sour-peach-flavoured tablets taste delicious and help keep children and adolescents excited about taking a daily iron supplement. They contain no GMOs, gluten, sugar, or artificial sweeteners, and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
