Ingredients

Each tablet contains:
S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) : 200 mg
(from 400 mg of S-adenosyl-L-methionine disulfate tosylate)

Microcrystalline cellulose, enteric coating (talc, shellac, glycerin, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), silica, sodium alginate), stearic acid, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), magnesium hydroxide. silica. calcium oxide.

Description

Natural Factors SAMe is a mood and joint support supplement featuring the naturally occurring compound S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe). SAMe is found in every cell of the body where it is the principal methyl donor needed for numerous metabolic processes.

SAMe helps raise the body’s production of the mood-balancing compounds serotonin, dopamine, and phosphatidylserine. Serotonin and dopamine are chemical messengers with important roles in mood and behaviour, while phosphatidylserine is a key phospholipid found in the membranes of brain cells. Supplementing with SAMe also helps relieve painful osteoarthritis symptoms by maintaining cartilage health and contributing to the production of joint-supporting compounds, such as glucosamine and chondroitin.

Natural Factors SAMe 200 mg features enteric-coated tablets that are easy to swallow and remain stable during digestion for maximum bioavailability. It provides the same form of SAMe used in clinical studies and is a great option for older adults who experience low mood or joint pain caused by osteoarthritis. This product might not be suitable for people already taking prescription antidepressants or who have bipolar disorder. Always read the label cautions before use.

Dose

SAMe should always be taken an empty stomach SAMe must he taken for a minimum of 2 weeks, at which time effects should be observed. For mood balance:1-4 tablets 2 times daily (up to 8 tablets daily) or as directed by a health care practitioner. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks. For osteoarthritic pain:2 tablets 3 times daily, not to exceed 6 tablets daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.
