Rutin (
Sophora japonica
) (flower bud) : 250 mg
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) : 100 mg

Rice powder, gelatin capsule (gelatin, purified water), silica, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Description

Rutin, derived from the flower bud of Sophora japonica, the Japanese pagoda tree, is a potent bioflavonoid that offers a range of benefits and uses within the body. Bioflavonoids are a group of plant pigments and include a large number of nutrients with antioxidant activity. Although they are not true vitamins, they are sometimes referred to as vitamin P because they have vitamin-like properties.
Rutin has both anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant properties. It therefore has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system as it improves circulation and prevents clot formation. It also strengthens the capillaries and reduces the toxicity of oxidized LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.
Rutin helps maintain the health of the circulatory system by helping the body to utilize vitamin C and maintain collagen, both of which are important for healthy skin and tissue formation. It is an important factor for wound healing and for the maintenance of good health. It helps in the development and maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth, and gums.
Natural Factors Rutin capsules contain 100 mg of vitamin C for increased absorption and assimilation, and are convenient easy-to-swallow capsules. Each capsule supplies a unique antioxidant formula for the maintenance of good health.
