HISTAMINUM COMPOSITUM NASAL SPRAY

As indicated from the remedies that make up R97, this nasal spray is specifically indicated to clear nasal symptoms brought on by an allergic reaction. Keynote signs involve the inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nasal passages. Typical manifestations of the allergic reaction are experienced as nasal congestion and obstruction, mucosal secretions (discharge that can be very watery, acrid, and profuse), and frequent sneezing. Often these allergic responses are accompanied by an irritating tickling in the throat, which most often translates into spasmodic, dry coughing. The mucous membranes of the respiratory system can often be affected in these situations. A typical constriction sensation of the lungs can lead to breathing difficulties and typical asthmatic /conditions.

Ingredients

Acidum formicicum D12 2.5 g, Aralia racemosa D6
2.5 g, Histaminum hydrochloricum D8 2.5 g, Luffa operculata D4 2.5 g.
Non-medicinal ingredients: sodium chloride solution.

Description

Mode of action
Acidum formicicum: Polyps, catarrh.

Aralia racemosa: Asthmatic conditions: spasmodic cough, tickling in throat, hay asthma. Patient is weak, relaxed, exhausted. Mucous secretions acrid. Smarting soreness of the posterior nares, caused by passage of acrid mucous. Obstruction in the nose, < spring; hay fever. Frequent sneezing. Copious watery, excoriating nasal discharge, of salty acrid taste.

Histaminum hydrochloricum: Antihistamine effects indicated for allergic reactions, bronchial asthma, rhinitis. Blockage of nostrils and itching sensation. Feeling of constriction; hard to breathe. Tickling in throat, dry cough. Opens sinus and bronchial passages. Inflammation.

Luffa operculata: Acts on mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Allergic rhinitis with clear or whitish discharge, especially in the morning. Burning and itching in the nose; sneezing. Hypersensitivity to scents of flowers and perfumes.

Dose

Adults acute cases: 1 pump stroke in each nostril 3 times daily; in chronic cases: 1 pump stroke in each nostril 1-2 times daily. Children under age of 12, acute cases, 1 pump stroke in each nostril 1-2 times daily; in chronic cases: 1 pump stroke in each nostril 1 time daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Potential side effects/Safety

• Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
• Must be used within 30 days after the seal is broken.
• Protect from light/heat.
