PULSATILLA COMPOSITUM NASAL SPRAY

The remedies that constitute this nasal spray act directly on the mucous membranes of the nasal passages. This spray is ideal during the cold and flu season when symptoms of blocked noses, profuse nasal discharges, violent sneezing, and catarrhal symptoms are all too common. Obstruction of the nose can create subsequent problems of foul odors, loss of smell, and an inability to breathe properly.

Ingredients

Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni D12 2.5 g, Cinna-baris D8 2.5 g, Kalium bichromicum D6 2.5 g, Pulsatilla D6 2.5 g. Non-medicinal ingredients: sodium chloride solution.

Description

Mode of action
Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni: Nostrils are sore, dry, ulcerated. Blockage of the nose, with foul, yellow discharge. Offensive odor in nose, polyps. Coryza, alternating with colic. Catarrhal symptoms.

Cinnabaris: Pressing sensation in nose. Pain at the root of the nose, extending into bones on each side. Stringy mucous passing through posterior nares into throat.

Kalium bichromicum: Affinity for the mucous membranes; polyps. Catarrh of the nose, larynx. Pressure and pain at the root of the nose. Offensive smell. Discharge is thick, ropy, greenish-yellow. Loss of smell. Inability to breathe through nose. Coryza, with obstruction of nose. Violent sneezing. Profuse, watery nasal discharge.

Pulsatilla: Coryza; loss of smell. Blockage of right nostril; stoppage in evening. Pressing pain at root of nose. Large green fetid scales in nose. Yellow mucous; profuse discharge in morning.

Quantity

15 ml

Dose

Adults 1 pump stroke in each nostril 3-5 times daily; children (6-12 years) 1 pump stroke 3-4 times daily; infants (1-5 years) 1 pump stroke 2-3 times daily; babies (0-12 months) 1 pump stroke 1-2 times daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Potential side effects/Safety

• Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
• Must be used within 30 days after the seal is broken.
• Protect from light/heat.
