Each tablet contains:
Zinc (HVP* chelate) : 25 mg
*HVP: Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein

Microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Description

Zinc is an essential trace mineral that is important for many bodily functions. It is known to support and protect the immune system and help the body fight against diseases. Zinc is needed for many hormones and a healthy reproductive system; it is important for prostate gland function and the growth of the reproductive organs.

Zinc is a constituent of more than 2,000 enzymes involved in digestion and metabolism. Some of the enzymes are involved in detoxification, bone metabolism, protein digestion and energy production. It is a part of insulin and is needed to break down alcohol.

A factor in the maintenance of good health, zinc helps with tissue formation and has a positive effect on skin and membranes, such as in wound healing. It is important for the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates.
