Description

DCI (D-chiro-inositol) is a stereoisomer of inositol that plays a critical role as a second messenger mediating cellular responses to insulin. DCI increases the action of insulin in women with the PCOS, thus improving ovulatory function and decreasing serum androgen concentrations, blood pressure, and plasma triglyceride concentrations. DCI is naturally derived from carob pods.
