Description

Citicoline is a naturally occurring nutrient found in the brain. It increases phosphatidylcholine that is critical for healthy brain function. Citicoline is the generic name for CDP-choline (cytidine 5’-diphosphocholine), which is a precursor for the synthesis of phospholipids that are essential constituents of cell membranes, including phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine and phosphatidyl-ethanolamine. It increases levels of certain neurotransmitters including acetylcholine, dopamine and noradrenaline.
