Microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, hydroxypropylcellulose, coating (carbohydrate gum [cellulose ], glycerin), stearic acid, silica, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Description

Natural Factors N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) 1000 mg provides a higher potency of NAC than standard formulas. NAC acts as an antioxidant and is used as a supportive therapy in the treatment of inflammation of the respiratory system. NAC also helps relieve symptoms of chronic bronchitis, such as thick mucus congestion and lung irritation.

NAC is a highly stable form of the amino acid cysteine and is a precursor in the body to the critical antioxidant glutathione. Glutathione exists within every cell of the body, where it protects against free radicals and the oxidative damage they cause. Glutathione is also a key supporter of the body’s immune system and detoxification, helping to protect the liver and detoxify harmful compounds.

Supplementing with NAC is a more reliable way to increase glutathione levels than supplementing directly with glutathione, which breaks down in the digestive tract. NAC 1000 mg is especially beneficial for active people, older adults, and people who live or work in polluted environments. This non-GMO formula is the highest concentration of NAC available at 1000 mg per tablet and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
