Each vegetarian capsule contains:
L-tyrosine : 500 mg

Vegetarian capsule (carbohydrate gum [cellulose ], purified water), dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), silica.

Description

Natural Factors L-Tyrosine is a free-form amino acid that helps decrease cognitive fatigue resulting from physically stressful situations, such as extended wakefulness, exposure to cold, and excessive noise.

L-tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid and a fundamental component of proteins with numerous critical roles throughout the body. L-tyrosine is also required for the synthesis of several important compounds, including the hormone thyroxine, the pigment melanin, and the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, which play important roles in the body’s stress response.

Although the body can synthesize L-tyrosine from the amino acid phenylalanine, consuming it directly contributes to the maintenance of healthy levels. L-tyrosine is found in various protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, dairy, and certain plant-based foods. However, L-tyrosine is most effective when taken in its free form. Supplementing with L-tyrosine can be beneficial for people at risk of fatigue or overstimulation from stress, including individuals with irregular work and sleep schedules, athletes involved in strenuous training, and professionals working in chaotic or fast-paced environments.
