Hops, Passionflower and Valerian are traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as sleep aids.

Ingredients

Medicinal Ingredients per 1 tablespoon (15 mL):
Albizia julibrissin (Silktree Flower)… 300 mg
Biota orientalis, Syn. Platycladus orientalis (Arborvitae Seed)… 200 mg
Humulus lupulus (Hops Strobile)…200 mg
Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower Herb Top)…300 mg
Reynoutria multiflora, Syn. Polygonum multiflorum (Fleeceflower Stem)…150 mg
Valeriana officinalis (Valerian Root)…100 mg
Ziziphus jujuba (Jujube Fruit)…400 mg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Purified water, Citric acid, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, Stevia rebaudiana Leaf, Polysorbate 20, Cherry and Peppermint Flavours.

Dose

Take 2 tablespoons (30 mL) once per day, 30 minutes before bedtime. Can be mixed with juice or water. Shake well before use.

Potential side effects/Safety

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have depression, diarrhea, liver disorder or taking prescription medications. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, dark urine, nausea, vomiting, unusual tiredness, weakness, stomach or abdominal pain, and /or loss of appetite occurs as these may be symptoms of liver disease. Consumption with alcohol, other medications and/or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness within two hours of consumption. Consult a health care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia). Do not use if security seal is broken.
