Indications

The primary action of this formula is to
1) heighten insulin receptor sensitivity and
2) mimic insulin effects. It's purpose is to lower and control blood glucose levels.

Gymnema sylvestre (Gymnema Leaf Extract) (Standardized 25% Gymnemic acids)... 133 mg
Momordica charantia (Bitter Melon Fruit)... 133 mg
Lagerstroemia speciosa (Banaba Leaf Extract) (Standardized 1% Corosolic acid)... 16 mg
Chromium* (Chromium polynicotinate)... 50 mcg
Vanadium* (Vanadyl sulfate)... 16 mcg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Hypromellose (vegetarian capsule shell), Colloidal Silicon dioxide.

Description

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid is potent antioxidant that sensitises insulin receptors and appears to enhance glucose uptake by the muscles by effecting muscle protein content and has long been known to offer protection against diabetic symptoms. The R(+) form has at least a 60% higher absorbability and utilization than regular alpha lipoic acid in a mixed (racemic) product, which would include the S-form.

Chromium Polynicotinate facilitates the effects of insulin and aids in the uptake of glucose into cells. It is a key factor in the glucose tolerance factor.

Vanadyl Sulphate mimicks insulin and improves glucose tolerance.

Banaba Leaf and Momordica Charantia (Bitter Melon) are botanicals that have potent blood-glucose lowering properties.

Gymnema Sylvestre is an Ayurvedic herb that supports the regeneration and repair of the beta cells of the pancreas and has glucose lowering properties

Dose

1 capsule 3 times per day with food. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications.

Potential side effects/Safety

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a kidney disorder, diabetes, and/or intestinal disorders, or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you experience symptoms of hypoglycemia including feelings of anxiety, dizziness, tremor, sweating, nausea or headache.
