Description

White Peony is used traditionally to relax muscles, lower blood pressure, relieve cramps and spasms (especially menstrual cramps) and reduce pain. It is used to build and cleanse the blood. It is used traditionally to help regulate the female hormonal cycle, purify the blood, to help regulate menstruation.

Potential side effects/Safety

Since white peony is considered " cold " in traditional Chinese medicine, it should be used with great caution when treating patients with excess cold or yang deficiency. Generally safe and most references indicate no drug interactions but may interact with anticoagulant/antiplatelet medications. Additional drug interactions may exist.
