Recommended Adult Dose: Take 6 capsules daily, away from meals, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Allow 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take a single dose at bedtime. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Take 2 to 3 times per week; if results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once per day. For occasional use only; do not use for more than 7 days. Do not take with highly acidic foods or medications, which may acidify urine.
Risk Information: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family, have liver or gall bladder disorders, bowel obstruction, abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea, or are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, intestinal obstruction, fever, painful urination, spasms, or blood in urine, a kidney disorder, faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever, or are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications. Consult your healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Stop use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble or if allergy occurs. Reduce dose or stop use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms or diarrhoea.
