FocusPlus was developed by Pure Encapsulations in conjunction with Dr. James Greenblatt as part of the Integrative Mental Health Series, a line of products based on scientific findings and decades of clinical experience. FocusPlus is formulated to support daily cognitive functioning, including focus, stamina, memory and attention. It provides rhodiola, which also helps relieve symptoms of stress, such as mental fatigue and sensation of weakness. Also critical to each formulation in the Integrative Mental Health Series is the inclusion of a vitamin B6, zinc and Metafolin® L-5-MTHF cofactor complex to support nutrient metabolism; L-5MTHF is the form of folate that easily crosses the bloodbrain barrier. Folate and vitamin B6 are particularly important in amino acid metabolism, including the metabolism of tyrosine.

Take 3 capsules 2 times daily with meals, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Not to be taken immediately before bedtime. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 3 months.
Risk Information: Do not use if you have bipolar disorder, bipolar spectrum disorder, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder, an iron deficiency or Parkinson’s disease, are taking antidepressant medication, birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or are following a low protein diet. Folate supplementation can mask a vitmain B12 deficiency. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are unsure whether you are taking enough vitamin B12. Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness or loss of appetite. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Stop use if you experience irritability or insomnia. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract-containing products have been reported.
